4th ΗΑΕΕ Energy Transition Symposium

The Hellenic Association for Energy Economics organized its 4^th Annual Energy Transition Symposium that took place at Divani Caravel Hotel, in Athens, Greece, on 6 - 8 May 2019, emphasizing on challenging energy, economic and environmental issues. The Symposium consisted of a platform of open dialogue among experts and professionals of the academic, business and government worlds, excelling in their fields of their expertise.

It is an undeniable fact that we are witnessing a new evolving era in the global energy scene. This volatile environment poses serious questions, challenges, and opportunities for countries, industries, professionals, and academics. Apart from globally-oriented concerns, the Symposium focused on the European energy sector which should constantly cope with uncertainties in the South-Eastern European region, a rather sensitive, geopolitical area.

We are pleased to announce that more than 100 Paper presentations were delivered, and about 100 plenary invited speakers attended, among whom Senior Executives of leading energy companies, Directors of international energy institutions, representatives from the European Commission's Directorates, policymakers and political leaders from Greece and abroad. Numerous projects and investment opportunities were discussed, with great consideration to the potential for huge investment in the Greek energy market by international energy leaders.
