The Hellenic Assocation for Energy Economics supports and actively participates in this year’s world biggest and most significant Conference for climate change, environment and energy, COP28, by co-hosting with the Hellenic Ministry of Environment and Energy, the Side Event “Outlook of the Greek Energy Sector towards 2030”, at the Greek Pavilion in Expo City Dubai, on 5/12 from 13:30 to 15:00 (GST).

Side Event narrative:

As we step into the future, the Greek energy market is undergoing a profound transformation. This change is driven by the introduction of cutting-edge technologies, such as energy storage systems and offshore wind farms, ushering in a new era of possibilities.

Moreover, this transformation is outlined in the revamped NECP (National Energy and Climate Plan), which was recently updated with new projections for the future of the Greek energy landscape. This updated plan carries the potential to propel Greece into a sustainable, clean energy future, setting ambitious targets for 2030 and even beyond, up to 2050.
