The Hellenic Association for Energy Economics - HAEE and the Society for the Environment and Cultural Heritage - Ellet organize the event entitled "Cost of Green Transition and Island Decarbonisation" on Tuesday, March 29 at 5.30pm.
The protection of our country's cultural heritage is inextricably linked to the goals for the energy transition and the climate-neutral economy. Our islands, beacons of culture, are at the heart of decarbonisation and sustainable development and are being transformed into laboratories of green innovation. Adapting to climate change through the new targets set by the European Green Deal and Fit-For-55 require improving the energy efficiency of the building stock and the sustainable development of historic areas through a holistic and multi-sectoral approach. In this context, actions for the energy transition can strengthen local economic development, simultaneously promoting participatory processes and highlighting the cultural capital of the country.
