The Ecomobility at the Forefront of Green Development | The New Bill

The Hellenic Association for Energy Economics hosted the Virtual Discussion titled “The Ecomobility at the Forefront of Green Development | The New Bill”, on Tuesday, June 9th, at 13.00-14.00.

In the framework of the World Environment Day, on June 5th, the Prime Minister Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis and the Greek Minister of Environment and Energy, Mr. Kostis Hatzidakis, presented the new bill for ecomobility. 

HAEE’s virtual event assessed all parameters of this green initiative foreseeing incentives for electric vehicles, scooters and bicycles purchase, the framework for the rapid installation of chargers, as well as, additional incentives for electric chargers and batteries manufacturing in Greece.  

In more detail, the virtual discussion focused on:

• What is the new incentives framework of the Hellenic Ministry of Environment and Energy for E-Mobility? What shall we expect in the next Βill?
• To what extent is economic growth linked to the investment in the green energy sector?
• What is the impact of COVID-19 on the electric vehicle market and its segments – How are the biggest industries reacting – In what way is the Greek market affected
• What are the opportunities for EV charging infrastructure providers?
• Covid-19 – What are the impacts on driving behavior and road safety?
