The Annual General Assembly of the Hellenic Association for Energy Economics took place on March 29, 2023. The election for the new Board of Directors was included in the agenda of the meeting and the new elected 7 Board Members met in a body on March 30, 2023. The results are as follows:

President: Spiros Papaefthimiou, Professor, Technical University of Crete in Greece

Vice President: Kyriaki Kosmidou, Professor at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki

Secretary: Kostas Andriosopoulos, Professor at Audencia Business School & CEO of Akuo Energy Greece

Treasurer: Filippos Ioannidis, PhD, School of Economics - Aristotle University of Thessaloniki

Member: Manolis Souliotis, Assoc. Professor at University of Western Macedonia

Member: Emilios Galariotis, Professor at Audencia Business School

Member: George Ioannou, Professor at Athens University of Economics and Business

I would like to congratulate the old members of the Board for being re-elected and welcome the new ones that join hands with us. With great honor I am reassuming the duties of the President of HAEE Board for the next 4 years. I would like to thank all the members who participated at our Annual General Assembly and elections and trusted us with their votes.

Evidently, I would like to thank all of you, the HAEE members for your ongoing support all these years. Your contribution has helped ΗΑΕΕ evolve into one of the most important organizations of the energy sector in our country and create a benchmark for all those involved in energy, environment and economy. Our successful course over the past years fills us with optimism and gives us a well-defined roadmap for the future.

I am proud to share with you that HAEE can showcase today an extensive portfolio of activities and partnerships. We have succeeded in organizing landmark events, such as the “Annual Energy Transition Symposium”, the “EcoMobility Conference” and the “Southeast Europe Energy Forum” in collaboration with the Hellenic-American Chamber of Commerce. In addition, we publish fundamental academic and research work in the form of periodical editions, such as the annual “Greek Energy Market Report”, the “In Focus” and the “Chart of the Month” that are promoted to the industry, policy makers and society.

We have successfully created a vibrant data base of Members, Supporters and Strategic Partners that is continuously growing, embracing our initiatives, and helping HAEE become what it is today.

We plan on being dynamically present in the developments of the energy sector with our existing and new, yet to come activities and services. On behalf of the new Board of Directors, I will continue to strongly support and serve HAEE’s mission and objectives.
