The Hellenic Association for Energy Economics (HAEE) is pleased to announce its partnership with the Windsor Energy Group (WEG) and inform you of its upcoming events.
WEG is a non-profit organization chaired by Lord Howell , a former British energy secretary. It brings together policy-makers and energy practitioners to review global energy developments.
The WEG annual meeting will take place at Windsor Castle on March 3-5, 2017.
The theme of this year’s residential weekend is how energy finance is evolving in the light of low energy prices, climate policies and increasingly competitive green energy. The meeting will be chaired by Lord Howell. Opening the weekend will be Spencer Dale who is BP’s chief economist and formerly deputy governor at the Bank of England.The guest of honour will be Sir Mark Moody-Stuart, a director of Aramco and former chairman of Shell and Anglo-American. He will talk the challenges facing governments and energy companies.
WEG holds a number of expert discussions on energy developments. The next such at 5pm on Feb 9 will be in the City of London and will look at the financial and environmental challenges facing energy shipping. The meeting will be chaired by Lord Howell and builds on an earlier House of Lords discussion addressing developments in Greece.
