On the occasion of the election of the new BoD the new President Dr. Spiros Papaefthimiou noted: "It is a great honor for me to be elected President of HAEE and at the same time a great challenge. For the past four years, HAEE has succeeded in becoming a particularly important player in the Greek energy sector, thanks to the dedication and hard work of the former president, Dr. Andriosopoulos and all the team members. Energy, economy and environment issues are becoming increasingly important, which is why HAEE has to step up its presence by producing new knowledge, with targeted policy proposals and advice to energy market players. For my part, I wishto assure our members as well as all interested parties that I will work to the best of my ability to ensure that the HAEE continues to carry out its mission, which is to raise the critical issues of the energy sector within our country and the wider region and enhance productive dialogue around these issues. Finally, I would like to thank the previous administration and Kostas for their work and wish him success in his new duties. "
Former President, Dr. Costas Andriosopoulos stated: “First of all I would like to congratulate Dr. Spiros Papaefthimiou and all members of the new Board of Directors for their election. I am very happy to hand over the wheel of HAEE to people with whom I have worked closely and at the same time I appreciate greatly. I am aware of their love and dedication and I am convinced that they will do their best to ensure that HAEE continues to be a credible and independent think tank that generates innovative thinking and adds value to its members. Finally, I wish to extend a big thank you to the team that works daily for the HAEE, since together we managed to establish a model organization for the Greek energy industry with activity worthy of an international think tank and recognition. I am confident that the future of the Greek Reservoir for Energy Economics will be bright."
